The Toledo Blade newspaper had this to say about his work:
"Everything he does is custom. All his work whether it's a small stool or a big entertainment center, bears the marks of craftsmanship which are rapidly fading from the furniture scene."
After graduating from the University of Toledo with a bachelors degree in education he studied woodworking and furniture design in Rochester, New York with America's foremost wood sculptor
and furniture designer, Wendell Castle.
Over the last thirty years, Scott has restored antiques, repaired furniture, built furniture and done interior trim work.
Since 2003, Scott has taught woodworking to the public and to employees of some the area's largest industrial firms.
